In the biggest case of its kind in the UK, Cadbury is being charged in
the salmonella contamination case that occurred last year. These big
idiots knew about a leaking waste pipe that contaminated several
thousand bars of chocolate in January of 2006, but failed to notify
anyone of the danger until June of 2006.
I really hope this spawns a larger look at the conditions in all of
the major manufacturers, as conditions like this may be present right
now at Hershey's or Godiva. These are producers who, consistantly,
look to cut costs rather than improve or even maintain quality.
And somehow I feel there may be a karmaic jist to this lawsuit, being
that they reduced the size of the crème egg and blamed the public for
getting bigger. Bigger, and apparently sicker.
That's all for today!
